A Message for New Creations Church

The message that I am about to share with you came straight from God’s heart to me. He wanted me to give a message to our church, and, since then, I believe with all my heart that you, our readers, are part of our church as well. You are a part because of receiving this newsletter, being a supporter, a friend, and helping us carry out this calling. I believe we were to bring this message to you too.

In Revelation chapters two and three, it talks about seven churches. It first lays out the good of the seven church bodies and tells them of their strengths, and then it lays out the bad of the seven church bodies, and describes their weaknesses and sins.

Please read Revelation 2-3. You will see what John saw in the Spirit and wanted corrected in the church bodies. I believe he is sending this message to us. “Get our act together,” because the return of Jesus Christ is just around the corner, and we don’t want to be caught unprepared for His return.

As you read Revelation 2-3, you see that each of the seven churches had some good qualities:

  • Workers for God’s cause
  • Didn’t faint when suffering was all around them
  • Didn’t quit in adversity
  • Was faithful to God
  • Held fast the name of Jesus
  • Didn’t deny their faith
  • Loyal to Jesus
  • When others were murdered for the cause of Christ, they would not deny Jesus as Lord
  • Did good works
  • Had faith for others
  • Loved Jesus
  • Loved being in the service of God
  • Was alive in Christ
  • Excited about Jesus
  • Had Jesus in their heart
  • Obeyed God’s word
  • Didn’t deny Jesus or His word
  • Rich in Christ
  • Happy in God

As you read Revelation 2-3, you see that each of the seven churches had some bad qualities as well:

  • Left their first love (Jesus Christ)
  • Unfaithful
  • Eaten things that had been sacrificed to the devil (worldly things)
  • Committed sexual sins
  • Worshiping the world
  • Let themselves be led astray
  • Worship worldly things
  • Ate of the worldly way
  • Was into sin to the point of death
  • Wrong deeds
  • Wouldn’t return to Jesus
  • Rejected God
  • Rejected God’s call on their lives
  • Sold out to Satan
  • Lied
  • Lukewarm
  • Felt they had everything
  • Happy in God and felt they didn’t need more
  • Didn’t want God’s involvement
  • Wretched
  • Poor spirit
  • Naked in God
  • Blind, proud and indifferent to God

Not only did the seven have some good, but each church had some of the bad that I listed above.

New Creations church friend, where do you stand in God? Have you done any of the above? Have you lost that first love of Jesus Christ? He’s not moved away from you, so it’s up to you to get closer to Him and back to Him.

Here’s how Revelation 2-3 tells us what we must change so we can get back on our path to heaven and be prepared for the return of Jesus Christ. We need Jesus Christ in our hearts so we are ready for our trip to heaven. We must be prepared for Jesus’ return. We must:

  • Return to our first love
  • Repent for our sin
  • Get back to faithfulness
  • Repent for our unfaithfulness
  • Get the truth out
  • Return to worshiping God asap
  • Deal with the consequences for our sin and return to the Lord
  • Take the time God is giving us to repent
  • Turn from our evil deeds
  • Remember victory belongs to us Christians
  • Turn back to God
  • Quit our wrong deeds
  • Quit rejecting God and His call
  • Obey God’s word
  • Endure hard times
  • Hold on
  • Let no one take our crown
  • Become pure
  • Clean up our act
  • Prepare for the coming of Jesus
  • Turn from indifference
  • Let God correct you

We don’t have to do all the things listed, only the ones that affect us. Change, so you will be ready for the coming of Jesus and won’t miss heaven.
