My name is Sarah. I am 18 years old and from Indiana. My life changed when my father died suddenly from a heart attack. I became depressed and angry at the world because I didn’t know why God would let that happen to my family and I.
Next thing I knew, I was trying different medications to get me back to “normal.” That made me even more depressed and sad. It started affecting my school work. I didn’t want to do anything. All I felt I could do was sleep and get into things that affect me today. My mom didn’t know what to do with me, so she sent me to New Creations.
After being here a while I finally understand why things happened to me the way they did. My relationships with family have strengthened in the last few months. My relationship and understanding of Jesus, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit have grown as well.
I am now on track to graduate, all because of the help and support of God, my family, and the staff here at New Creations.
