Not long ago I was talking to Rev. Blaine Bowman, and he made this statement to me: “Touch Heaven in 11!” As I thought about that, this thought came to mind: “We can’t ‘Touch Heaven in 11′ unless we find out what God is telling us to say and to do. Then we will ‘Touch Heaven in 11!’” As you know, God has told us to speak only the words that He says to us in 2011. So here is how I see we will “Touch Heaven in 11.”
We’ve got to get it in our spirit that God wants to talk to us just like He did Jeremiah in 1:4-5 “Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
God knows how to talk to you, and has a calling for you. We are all called the moment we are saved to do a great work for God. He has set us apart to do a great work for Him. The smallest of jobs is a huge job when God has called you to do it.
We can’t tell God we can’t do the calling, job or ministry when He has called us to do it. I am telling you that you have been called and set apart. Jeremiah 1:6 “Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.” If God spoke it and called you to it, you can do it! No one and nothing can stop you from the call of God.
God will put people into your life and speak to you to tell you not to say, “I can’t do it.” Get the words “I can’t do it” out of your mind. Jeremiah 1:7 “But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.” It will be a terrible thing if we don’t do what God has separated us out to do. If He’s commanded it, then let’s do it.
When God told me to make Bev Hodgin the Principal of the school, she about passed out. She told me so many times that she couldn’t do it, but she has been doing it and doing it in great style for many years. Once she got it into her mind she could do it, she has done a wonderful job. We’ve just got to speak what God speaks to us! Then it’s up to God to do the next step.
We can’t be afraid of people, because God is with us and wants to deliver us from the problem. Jeremiah 1:8 makes that clear: “Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.”
See, it’s up to God to touch our lips and give us what to say and what to do. If God doesn’t put it in our mouth, it’s not worth speaking anyway. Jeremiah 1:9 “Then the Lord put forth His hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.” Quit arguing with God and speak what He tells you to speak. Yes, He will touch your mouth and tell you what to say.
It’s God’s job to set me over things that I must do while I’m on this earth. It’s not my job, but His, and I must be willing to do His calling. It’s not my calling but His calling.
Jeremiah 1:10 “See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and throw down, to build, and to plant.” If you are ever going to be anything, you must come to the point that it’s God’s job and not yours, and then don’t be afraid of anyone or anything. Just do it!!
If we are going to “Touch Heaven in 11″, we must speak only the words and do only the things that God gives us in 11! I am going to “Touch Heaven in 11″ by doing my best to hear God no matter how He will speak to me. He can speak through my enemies, friends, word of God, prayer, prophets, someone that I don’t like, parents, Pastors, any way that He wants to, because I’m listening for Him to speak.
